6-29-09 POD My New Photo Techniques
I am messing around with my camera a little bit as well at picasa 3. I would love to have an digital SLR but will manage with the "point and shoot" I have until it breaks down. Or I have enough money from my garage haircuts! :) Which option will happen first?
This picture was actually taken vertically even though it looks like it should be a horizontal picture. So I left it the way it is minus the add on things I did to the photo. Should be fun to have it printed to actually see it in my hands.
Henry is in his sleeping bag. He now thinks it's pretty cool and is taking his nap in it as well!
Muffin doesn't have a sleeping bag, but because brother bear has one she wanted one for herself. I made one from her "Auntie Blankie". I should add they insisted on pillows as well. But the point of posting this picture was my new found love of "blur" which I discovered from MckMama's blog.

6-27/28-09 POD Our Weekend
Oh how nice it was to get out last night with my "Big Daddy" without kids! We went to dinner with another couple and then went out for drinks (well, no drinks for me, of course) and listen to a band play outside! That was so nice and interesting. Interesting why? Well, because people sure do and wear some interesting things! It was a great night. Needless to say, Big Daddy and I were both tired Saturday and took advantage of our "littles" taking a nap, we both took naps too! :)Big Daddy worked on the basement on Saturday and Sunday. He added some lights and painted the walls white. That added a lot to the basement...it made it not look so much like a dungeon! Meanwhile I played with kids, weeded half of the sandbox and started, for the second time, staining the swing set. I am hoping to finish that project before the end of next week!
We also took a little time to enjoy some "freezers".

Our Day at the Beach 6-26-09 (MckMama siting)
On Friday we went to the beach with a couple of friends. We made sure that we got there nice and early so we could get a umbrella for shade. Gina made it there first at 9:30 AM and got the last of the many umbrellas. I guess next time we might want to make sure we get there when the rooster crows! It became very crowded by noon and we were ready to take off. But before we could leave the parking lot I had to change Muffin's diaper. Poor thing had a messy diaper and it was painful for her! My little Muffin fell asleep on the way home, she was thoroughly exhausted! Henry didn't nap which ended up being okay because we (lucky us!) had a babysitter coming at 6:30 PM! Oh, I almost forgot to mention, I meet MckMama at the beach today. It was the strangest thing, I had this feeling the evening before that I would meet her there (I am not some medium or anything like that). And then I thought I saw her walking by.....I was pretty sure that I recocnized her and the MSC, minus Stellan. I saw her leave, meanwhile, I took my potty training Spike Buck to the bathroom. Well, he couldn't reach and he wouldn't stand on my feet, now what? Oh, we went to the woods (small patch of trees by the parking lot) and he actually peed standing up! YEAH! So on our way to the bathroom for me, we ran into MckMama and Stellan. I, of course, had to say something. She was very nice and asked if I saw her leave. Well, yes I did....which later made me think....she probably thought I was stalking her...waiting for her to come back. MckMama...if you happen to read this, (which I am sure you won't with all that you are busy doing), I wasn't stalking. Just coming out of the woods!

Not Me! Monday 6-29-09
This is my first Not Me Monday post.....
I declared last week that on Sunday I would have a menu ready for the week and then go grocery shopping on Sunday night after the kids were in bed and while my husband was doing bill......the first Sunday came and who went to the grocery store???? NOT ME!
I declared that there would be no more milk in any room but the kitchen because I am, of course, tired of finding milk under the end tables or behind the chairs or stuff in the "barn" filled with farm toys......and while I am facebooking and blogging this morning I would never look the other way as they sucked down a full sippy cup of milk while sitting on the end table (not allowed to to that either). NOT ME!
I for sure don't have a 2.5 year old son who climbs into the computer chair and declares that he is facebooking.....NOT ME!

6-23-09 My Day
I had a doctor apponment today that was actually pretty uneventful and that's a good thing. Baby is doing just fine. All is well! We are so blessed that this pregnancy has been so good. Actually, for the most part (except the pre-eclampsia with Henry), all my pregnancies have been really good. I am just at the tired phase right now and getting very uncomfortable...along with BIG!
Henry & Karley spent the morning with their Auntie "Daffy" and cousins Ryan, Kelsey & "Nick us" while I went to the doctor. It was so nice to have them there. We are so glad for Auntie "Daffy". :)
Naps all around once we got home....oh but preceding that....Henry went poop on the potty all by himself! I wasn't sure what mess I was going to come into the room to find....it was all good though....the "mess" came later. It was so bad I had to put peppermint oil under my nose and the kids were looking at my goofy.....Henry was asking, "why are you choking Mommy?" My stomach is so weak for terrible smells.....especially during pregnancy.
It's not funny Ryan....it was gross!!!

6-13-09 Photo of the Day - Purple Betty
This is the last car I had, her name is "Purple Betty".
I now drive "Big Red"...at Red Suburban. I love driving it and sometimes feel it's not very "green" but for how many kids we'll have and how much I drive....oh it's nice. I feel I do a good job making up for not being "green" in this area but being "green" in other areas.

She was only to be driven by me for a few months, kind of a "runner" car. I ended up driving her for over a year. I think the girls at the salon were very surprised I drove it that long!
Big Daddy drives her now. She looked much better in my day. Since Adam has had her he has been backed into and hit on the side a couple of times. Needless to say, she's paid for herself over and over. And the kicker....she fires up every time. She's never, ever (knock on wood) broke down. I actually thought I was going to drive it until it broke down....thank God I didn't have to for that long....I'd still be in it! She has been parked at times for this or that reason and we laugh because we're always surprised she fires.....but man...she does! She has a ton of miles and just as much rust. One of these days she'll make it to the "cash for junk" car lot!!!
My husband did not want me to post anything about Purple Betty.....
but I love her!

(I'm just glad I don't drive it anymore! :))
PS. Her windshield is all cracked up too!
